Petals

The petals are the large, showy structures of a flower in an angiosperm. They are usually brightly-colored via carotenoids or other plastid pigments, and they are used to attract pollinators to transport their pollen grains for reproduction.

Petals are modified from leaves in order to improve the plant’s ability to sexually reproduce.
