Population (Biology)

In biology, a population a categorical level of organization on the macroscopic level pertaining to biological organisms. One population constitutes one collective of the same kind of organism (not necessarily identical) within the same geographical range. A population counts as a collection fully comprised of living components, with those components being multiple organisms.

A group of several populations of different organisms within a given geographical range is known as a community.
